Photographer’s Note

The High Fens are an upland area in the province of Liège, in Belgium between the Ardennes and the Eifel highlands and are a unspoilt piece of nature, ideal for walking.
Its highest point, at 694 m above sea level, is the Signal de Botrange near Eupen, which is also the highest point in Belgium.
The High Fens consist mainly of moorland and forest. It is a very rainy and swampy region, but also very romantic, in all seasons.
