Photographer’s Note

Workington stony beach give me lot of oportunities to play with the wave effects. I hope you like this. It was nearly dark 30 minutes after the sun gone and I tried to take this picture with 5 sec exposure. My camera was nearly splashed I tripod was 20 cm in water after the wave came.

Hello Jiri,

Very good photo. I like the blue mood of this shot and the web-cream effect of the long exposure put on the waves. It is drawing lines which, with the effect of the wide angle lens, drive the look to the background mixed with the clouds.
The little part of orange colors gives a nice counter point.
good idea and good realisation,

Hi Jiri,
risky business to take such a picture apparently. Well the result is fine though. Very moody as the title suggests. I like the patterns created by the water and the overall blue hue.

Nedelam protisluzbu, chtel jsem se dostat ke komentarum na tvoje posledni fotky driv, ale nak na to porad nezbyva cas.
Tohle je paradni kousek, nebe se mi sice zda malinko zrnity, ale jinak klasicka kompozice, proste dobra prace, je videt, jak se zlepsujes den ode dne! Klidne bych to i tipnul na vic jak 5 vterin. Musim hodit fotak do opravny, abych Ti mohl zacit konkurovat! :)
mej se fajn, brzy snad budu mit volnejc a zavolame si*

ps: kdyz jsme u ty vlny a vody na fotaku, me pres nej sla voda uplne, nak sem podcenil vlnu:) ale to neni pricina problemu.

Hi Jiri,
Another nice shot, I love the evening mood and long tidal waves taken with long exposure, very nice composition, it creates impression of falling a bit on the left hand side so I tried to improve it in workshop together with some curves adjustments,
