Holy Bonito - Aziz Palamut Photo

Photographer’s Note

Taken yesterday in the siher market of Sile.
Normally from the beginning of the fishing season on 1st September, first catchs are bonitos. Than followed by bluefishes (after a month), the murders of the sea ! And the bonitos disappears. But this year it was quite short. We had only for two weeks bonitos and thereafter nothing more. This caused a great price increase.
When I noticed this stand yesterday, with no price tags on the bonitos (!) but olnly a lamp in the center
I thought that the price was incredible high. And so it was ! Therefore "Holy Bonitos" ! With the holy light around their hads !

Bu kareyi dün Şile limanında çektim !
1 Eylülde balık yasağı kalktıktan sonra, ilk palamut akını başlar. Arkasından (bir ay kadar sonra) lüfer gelir - denizin canavarları !
Lüfer gelince de, palamut kaçar. Ve fiyatları artar.
Bu sene de öyle oldu, ama bir ay değil sadece iki hafta sonra.
Buradaki balıkçı standında fiyat etiketi yoktu. Sorduğumda, nedeni anlaşıldı; anormal yüksek.
Ortadaki, deniz suyunun tuzundan matlaşmış ampul, palamutların başında adeta bir aziz halkası gibi sallanıyordu ! Onun için "Aziz Palamut" !

lufer burada 20-25 ytl,palamut 10....sizin oralarda sanirim cok fazla var ve de cok ucuz (mu?)hala gelemediginize gore...eminim el ayak cekildikten sonra en guzel zamanini yasiyorsunuzdur,sefaniz olsun ,yakisir...valla benim favori baligim lufer,palamut allanip pullansa da palamut iste...ama yemiyormuyuz yiyoruz....nefis bir kadraj bu,sabah sabah insanin cani balik yemek ister mi canim...istedi valla...

çok güzel bir açı ve harika bir görüntü.özellikle ortada duran ampülün ışığı altında balıkların keskin görüntüleri çok güzel olmuş elinize sağlık.

Notuyla birlikte ne güzel anlatmışsınız kareyi. Tuzlu ampul, fiyatı tuzlu palamut çok uyumlu olmuş.

In der kleinen Version konnte ich mit diesem Bild überhaupt nichts anfangen. Dieses Motiv muss man erst einmal sehen - und dann noch die Kamera dabei haben - und dann als Krönung noch dieser Titel! Ein wirklich einfallsreiches Foto und in Kombination mit Deinem lebendigen Kommentar ein schöner TE-Beitrag!
Grüße aus dem sonnig-warmen Siegen, aber morgen kommt ein Sturmtief...

I missed it yesterday but was attracted to your excellent gallery by the today's photo. I prefer this one! the fish in the left part is the one in your today's post ??

Very original! The spotlight is on the spotlight or the light bulb, yet the main subject are the fishes. Your note gave a different dimension to the picture as well. Good work!

Hello Mesut,
As you know, I like fishy photographs - and this is a great one! The light bulb adds a touch of theatre to the box of fish, adding a strange atmosphere as well as showing their iridescence. The warm brown and silver is a lovely colour combination.
