Photographer’s Note
My second photo from Plitvice. These falls have been photographed by nearly everyone who has visited the park. It's hard to get an original photo as you can only stand on a narrow wooden boardwalk. The best photo I've seen of these same falls here on trekearth is this photo, posted by testmaniac.
The hardest part of this photo was waiting for the steady stream of tourist to stop walking by so I could get a longer exposure without the boardwalk shaking up and down.

Eden, indeed, Ryan. Awesome color and clarity, and a perfect autumn backdrop for those cascades. Very well seen and shown. Love the reflections in the water, and the leaves on it, too.

Hi Ryan,
If I had to imagine what Eden was like....this would be it. Really superb image with the most amazing autumn colours. Yo'uve done really well with the slow speed to capture the waterfalls, and the transparent water in the foreground adds a nice finishing touch. Very well captured.
Cheers Grant

Your right about Phil's shot, it is one of best on TE of these waterfalls. I think the flow of silky water is better in Phil's, but the deeper colours in this are sublime, and being in Autumn has helped. The water is so inviting and the scattered leaves are a bonus here and the sharpening in this has brought out the detail everywhere. Two different views your composition is very good like Phil's.
Cheers
Jim

Bog Ryan,
The green tones are always incredible in Plitvice, and here you have the fall colors as a bonus. There seems to be a slight tilt to the right but as you note, it is very hard to do anything on the boardwalk. That aside, this is one of the best photos I've seen from this beautiful place. Regards,
Hakan

I remember this spot very well. Man, Plitvice really looks amazing in the Autumn. And with a polarizer attached to the lens it's even better. Great one!

Hi Ryan,
another autumn beauty from Plitvice. In your composition
you decided no to go for a wider view (dull or too bright
sky?), but focus on the waterfall itself.
Love the dry leaves floating on the water surface.
Did you feel like increasing saturation a bit?
Cheers,
Robi

Hi Ryan. Your photos and Philip's of Plitvice make mine look dull by comparison. Maybe I should use the tripod more often, but I am sure there's more to it- like choosing well the POV, thinking about composition and deciding the exposure.Do you normally use the CPL when shooting outdoors? I love the colours, the strong sense of place- as if we are part of this beautiful spot.great work. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Ryan, I like the result on the fine white water falls, the lighting is just perfect, the nuances of the green leaves and the clear water. The leaves on the water surface are just attractive. Rgds, Alex

Hi Ryan,
Deep colours my friend, deep Velvia colours, so how could i not like this one ;-)
Velvia green looks superb looking in to the water, but seeing this tiny waterfalls in slow motion is such a strong key here....wonderful, as usual great piece of work.

Hi Ryan
I would so much like to go there that I've already bought a travellers guide to Croatia. And it's thanks to photos like this one on TE. I just love the emerald colour of the water and here you have the colourful autumn leaves creating such a pretty background and filling up the foreground too. The slow speed is excellent for the water.

Hello Ryan,
Oh, this is very nice!! Love the patchwork of leaves in the water in the foreground. And then those tones at the top of the leaves. Very nice. Haha, and a good note on the constant stream of tourists :-).

Hi Ryan,
White of the falls is outstandingly depicted, it's a picturesque scenery. But the leaves on the pond catch my eyes like a magnet. Beautiful shot with a long exposure.
Best wishes, Hisashi

Hi Ryan:
Dang, you're worse than me--planning your trips around when areas will be most photogenic. :) Lovely, lovely shot. The falls and pools would be beautiful in their own right, but when you add those fall colors, they nicely complement the color of the water. Great, great shot.

(sigh) I wish autumn ALWAYS looked like this. no rain, no wind, no sleet, no dull gray sky, no trying to wade through flooded NYC streets... :D
sulking aside, I like this shot a lot, especially the crystal clear water that looks like a huge gemstone. superb work, Ryan, my compliments.
best,
Kristine

Hi Ryan, Great shot. One of the better falls that I have seen on Trek Earth. Looks like you pumped up the saturation a bit. Looks fine. Especially the leaves floating on the water with their excellent color. I have the 30D as well, and shoot in RAW with a polarizer, but use the 17-55 mm 2.8 USM, IS. Congrats on a wonderful picture. Hi Ryan!
This is a true gem! Beautiful autumn colours and love the white softness of the falls as a contrast to the almost emerald green lagoon at the bottom!
Absolutely beautiful - thanx for sharing and waiting for the tourists to walk by ;-)

Hi Ryan;
I like it, although it seems a bit over sharpened and there is some noise in the white falling water.
I've been at the same place maybe two weeks later. You can see the result here.

All the elements are present. Good idea to expose the many fine lines of water that comes from many places. Also the rock under the water and leaves in the foreground makes some nice details.
Also, liked your comments, especially about the tourists. First I was wondering it was one of those hidden corners on earth... :)

testmaniac's image is excellent, but yours is just as good Ryan, because of the inclusion of the autumn colours. The greens are amazing - well saturated but not overdone. Top marks for your patience in waiting to get the longer exposure - works very well. Like Hakan, I picked up the tilt to the right when I opened this, but fortunately it is very slight. Cheers . . .
