A nocturne view to Zakynthos town Photo

Photographer’s Note

when i visited the island of zakynthos i was surprised how many olive trees you can find there and how much italian influence is visible. zakynthos is a good mixture of italian and greek architecture. what you see here is the main church of the city, Agios Dionysos (St.Dionysus).

f8, tripod, canon 30d, 70-200mm at 200mm

in workshop 1 you can see the main entrance of this lovely church and in workshop 2 you can see the italian influence in the architecture.

Your entrance, I mean your 4 first photos, are very impressive to say the least! I chose to comment this one, because it's a fantastic nightshot (I am a nightshot lover myself), with great light managment (some kind of HDR or DRI method?), excellent framimg and composition! Waiting for more to come! Congratulations!

good shot! I like so much night photos, and this is very beauty, greast POV and relfections are well taked, moreover saturation and sharpness are very good. A very good work!

Hello Valentino, and welcome to trekearth family!

Good light managment in all three shots.
I have some objections about the reflections here. Obviously a boat passed in front of you earlier and mixed up the water so those reflections couldn't be maintained intact.
I'll try to correct them in PS in a wks in a while.

Kalispera Valentinos,

I find this picture a good example of what can be done to obtain an excellent night scene. All the buildings are well exposed and clear and also the sea surface with the reflections, I think that was not easy. Then I like the composition where a larger portion of the photogram is dedicated to the sea. This gives a good sense of depth.
The fine colours and sharpness contribute to have a engaging image.
