Photographer’s Note

We had some free days and did a short trip to Santos, a city by the sea and about only 60 Km far from São Paulo. The first day was a little bit cloudy, as seen in this picture. Since then, it rained cats and dogs and we decided to come back earlier. It hasn't rained in São Paulo for more than one month and, of course, it comes when you go to the beach... It was a pity for all of you too, because I wanted to take lots of pictures of this part of brazilian coast, maybe we could have gone to some beaches at the north coast of São Paulo that are really very beautiful, but we didn't because the weather was terrible.

Well, I bought a ND filter, Sony model VR-R52K, and I don't know exactly what is it for. I used it in this shot, and it looks ok for me. Is it useful for this kind of picture? Or what? Except for the size reduction for posting, I haven't edited this file.

Re-post note: Hey! It's interesting how software can edit photos! I couldn't imagine that all this were possible. That's something I've learned here in TE, I must say, thanks Adrian.

I used two layers, as if they were graduated filters, one grey to clear the botton and another blue to warm the top (in the divide function, that 'inverts' - or whatever it does - the colors, so that the blue acts as if a glass yellow/orange filter). I am using The Gimp, in a Linux environment.
