Photographer’s Note
As to the administrative division, Outão belongs to Setúbal.
From a touristic point of view, there's nothing much to see on this short stretch of Portuguese coast just west of Setúbal but a fortress converted into a hospital (see my previous post) and, from a photographic point of view - a cement plant called Secil - if you're into industrial photography.
Though, there's no place on this planet that is completely without a charm...

Hello Robert,
Those are terrific tones. I like that overall glistening effect of the sea. Looks like a very charming place :)

Hi Robert, very nice photo from setubal, i know this place, I loved the warm colours on the hill, but the silver light in the sea is simply amazing. TFS

Hello Robert,
Well composed and good color tone!
And, you catch well the mood of this coast in the point of cape where it faced sea in soft curve and light that reflects to surface of the sea. Personally, I like the color contrast between the sky with russet, the sea and the cape with dark-gray as well as surface of the sea repeating hue of gray and white. I think that a color near the black of the cape and hill put out a good effect in the meaning that tightens the whole.

mikio

When I first looked at the picture I had the idea of an excessive sharpening effect. However, now I believe that it is a very real picture as I remember that the water can sometimes irradiate that silver glittering low light. And the red of the sunset is an excellent addition. Very well done.

Hi Robert,
I thought I knew the place well, because I used to spent much of my Summers nearby when I was a young boy, but you managed to surprise me very positively. The silhouette of the hills makes, the amazing glowing texture of the sea and the colour of the sky and sea compose a very catchy image, very powerful graphically.
Against what you say in the note, looking at the photo reinforces my idea that I have been silly not to have taken my chances photo wise in that area that I seldom have visited these last years. I am aware that I am biased, but I am really surprised that you didn't find the place more interesting. I am not thinking about the stretch you show in the photo, which is probably the least scenic (something hard to believe by looking at the photo), but specially to the coast behind this view.
Regards, José.
