Photographer’s Note

Ruins of the Bank of Poland in the city of Warsaw (Warszawa), Bielanska street. Built in 1907-1911 as the Russian Imperial Bank on the site of two XVIII and XIX century palaces used by the State Mint. Neo-Renaissance, designed by Leontij Benois. A Polish stronghold during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, it was bombed by German planes.

Is that the result of the actual world financial crises?!!! It looks like a nice archaeological site. Good wide POV and superb red brick colour.

Hej Mikolaj !

Jak dla mnie to temat jak najbardziej na czasie , sytuacja bankow w Europie wyglada podobnie jak ruiny baku na zdjeciu , co prawda nasze banki maja sie troszke lepiej ale nie zapominajmy , ze w wiekszosci naleza do kapitalu zagranicznego .

Superb photo from this imposing building. Unfortunate, that it was demolished in the cruel fights of the World War II. The composition spectacular, the photo gives back the former beauty of the building. Excellent shot. Have a nice day

Hello Mikolaj,
An interesting picture and quite different from your photos of the many perfectly kept or restored Polish castles and monasteries. A document on the dark history of your country. Still, there is something strangely attractive with ruins that cannot be denied.

Jak Ci sie udalo wlezc za plot? Przeciez tak wszystko pozamykane na amen, a za zamknieta na amen brama stoi cerber. Mozna focic tylko zza plotu. No, ale udalo Ci sie. Brawko. Fajowskie foto.

Czolem Mikolaj!
Swiatopelk ma racje. Miales szczescie, albo sposob, bo to rymowisko jest zamkniete na cztrey spusty. Dokumentacja wyjatkowo wazna. Swietne zdjecie. Bardzo dobra kompozycja.

To ci dopiero ruiny. Ale wygladaja na zagospodarowane, sadzac po nowoczesnych ramach okiennych. Dobry POV, bardzo dobra ekspozycja. Bardzo ciekawie opowiadasz nam zdjeciami o swoim miescie.

Bardzo dobre zdjecie starych ruin. Doskonala kolorystyka nadajaca prawdziwosci tym ruinkom.
Gdybys nie napisal, ze na Bielanskiej, pomyslalabym, ze to na tylach Ratusza, tam sa jakies ruiny i nie pamietam od czego?

this colors of old bricks fit the autumn very much.
I like old broken buildings like this, and the orange/brown colors of this are beautiful and tasteful.
the figure going back to the nature is generally touching, in my feeling, the true beautifulness is in it, not in perfect constructions.

Que lugar interessante ficou em ruínas devido a II Guerra Mundial , a cor vermelha faz um belo contraste com o céu azul ,belo ponto de visão , parabéns!!
