Photographer’s Note

Beijing's National Center for Performing Arts or known as "the Egg". Night shot at the egg, a 30 second exposure, auto white balance setting. this is the back entrance of the theater that's why it's more peaceful, no people, no bikes and no cars.. =)

Shot taken during the Beijing Folk Festival October 2008. It's really a privilege for me to have been performed in this state of the art theater. It is really beautiful, and words can't describe how big and how awesome it is.

As far as I know, this theater has been recently opened, last December 2007 I think, One thing i'm sure of that is really new.I suppose that it is also one of the major architectures that was made for the 2008 Olympics (bird's nest, the cube, and "the egg").

The egg consists of 4 big halls, the opera house, concert hall, little theaters and etc. It is really huge!!! Hope you like this shot!

definitely looks like an egg, buried on ground.
Nice night shot; all the sparkles over the egg and dark blue sky make it very attractive.
The entrance also looks very inviting... Congrats Matt..

looks for like a flying saucer to me.*g* excellent nightshot of this amazing building. the lighting and colors are terrific
making it look as if it is not from this world. what can be seen in the foreground - grass or bushes? superb job & best wishes, thor.

Hi Matt,
You've done really well to find a perspective fro which there aren't 500 people and 1000 cars! The kind of picture which is so hard to capture in Beijing. The white balance is perfect for me and the shot has a general soft tone to it which is nice.
