Photographer’s Note
We had the privilege of "rolling" our way through the undulating hills and countryside of the Palouse region of eastern Washington state today. Wow, what a place to visit, and for those who love the rural lanscape, this area is a must see. We are still on the road and I will be sharing lots more from our vacation on TE in a few weeks, but I had a few minutes today and just could not resist a sample from this wonderful part of our world.

My compliments to you Gerald in your eye for composition in this scene. I love the uncluttered setting and the rule of thirds employed in this wide frame as well. A very powerful presentation in its simplistic form. Thanks for sharing Gerald.

Superb shot Gerald;
I love the rolling hill in the back and how it's broken up by the hard lines of the red barn. The horses are icing on the cake in my opinion. Well framed with the matching red pinstripe.
Nice work Gerald,
- Dan

Hello Gerald,
I love the simplicity of this composition!
The red barn is so well placed in the autumn field, and elements like the fence and horses add a lot to the impact...
Lovely seasonal colours and very attractive lines!

Hello Gerald.
A wonderful, quite minimalistic sort of shot, with a marvellous sense of the open spaces surrounding this red barn. The line and angle of the fence and the gently rolling slopes, give a strong sense of depth, and the lone horse only enhances the tranquility of the scene. Lovely warm colour tones, and a nice crop. Perhaps the sky is a little over-blue, but that's a minor point. A great photo.
Regards,
Andrew

salut gerald
une ferme western comme dans les films américains des années 30, magnifiques couleur de cette ferme qui flashe a l'écran, bon POV et le cheval occupe bien le premier plan

Hi Gerald,
This place is really beautiful and peaceful! I like your composition because it make strong emphasis on the barn while the ondulating lines of the hills make for a more pleasant composition. Light is excellent in this image. Enjoy your vacation Gerald :-)

What a lovely scene. Great capture of that red barn in the surrounding 'emptiness'. What I like most in this shot is its basic colours pattern (blue, red, yellow). An excellent upload!

Gerald, this is such a cozy and charming ranch. the rich color and tone is wonderful, a little bit on the muted and darker side but really nice. The field in the foreground and horse is really wondeful and inviting, the rolling hills in the back make me want to explore what's behind that hills. Excellent composition. Thanks.

Hi Gerald,
Your Canadian landscape pictures are becoming better and better. A real feast to our eyes! I love barn and this red one is beautiful. The composition is so nice with these two, the colors are nicely soft. The whole scenery passes the tranquility of this place.
Regards,
Flavia
