Photographer’s Note

Hello Everyone,

Last week we had some very warm, sunny weather. Autumn was imitating summer! I went for a walk with a group of friends and couldn't resist capturing the lovely greens, and long shadows.

On many shots on this site, especially those from Canada, the signs of autumn are well advanced but, as you can see, there is little sign of autumn here!

The grass around the field gates is still long and green and the trees have a summerlike freshness. I'm sure that it will all change in another week!

The dry stone walls you can see are the typical field boundaries for this part of Lancashire. In the distance is Blacko Tower which looks very interesting but was, in fact, a folly built in the last century.
