Photographer’s Note

The Nobel prize winners of 2008 have been declared these days. The committees and institutions serving as the selection boards for the Nobel Prizes typically announce the names of the laureates in October, with the Prizes awarded at formal ceremonies held annually on 10 December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death. These Prize ceremonies are held at the Stockholm Concert Hall, with the Nobel Banquet following immediately in the Blue Hall of Stockholm City Hall, called as "Stadshuset" locally.

Stadshuset is considered one of Sweden's foremost examples of national romanticism in architecture. The unique site, overlooking Riddarfjärden, inspired a central motif of the construction, namely, the juxtaposition of city architecture and water that also represents a central feature of Stockholm's cityscape as a whole. The architectural style is one of refined eclecticism, blending massive, austere, North European brick construction and playful elements reminescent of oriental and venetian architecture.

...last year when i was in stockholm i wanted to visit this famous building, especially to see the blue hall... but i was told i was too late and it was already closed... i could only climb up the tower to take a few shots... and on the main building all i could see was the toilets... so i had to take a few shots there of course, including this "selfportrait"...

well, it may not be a noble thing to do a shot in the toilet... but i love high pov, i love graphism, i had them all in there>:P...

(geçen yıl stokholm'e gittiğimde ziyret etmek istediğim ancak kapandığı için ancak tuvaletini kullanabildiğim, nobel kazananların şerefine yemek verilen ünlü belediye binası Stadshuset’te çektim bu fotoğrafı>:P...)
