Photographer’s Note

Fall seems to come later each year. This was taken in early November last year not far from peak color. I showed this to a friend of mine in Cincinnati (750 miles away) who immediately recognized the location. Turns out that he lived in a house on this lake a number of years ago.
The structure is part of the water supply system for the town.

Hi Greg,

Autumn is certainly a beautiful season in many parts of the world. The background is very attractive here but does not distract attention from the water pump. I think the colours seem properly saturated adding a more natural look in the composition. Nice work :-)

Beautiful colors of autumn, my favorite season but unfortunately we don't have such a season from where I'm from. This photo reminds of a European setting especially with the lake & medieval looking water tower. Greetings. Latiff.

The colours on background indeed adds point to the picture and i think the autumn colours are always awesome. Nice shot Greg, i like it..

HEllo Greg, beautiful composition you made here. The amazing colors of the trees give a good bg to the grey tower and the silver reflection is beautiful. In my opinion you could improve the quality of the image by balancing the light specialy the light on the 'beach' and at the right side of the tower is a bit to hard.I did a WS on it to show what i mean. Hope you like it.
