Photographer’s Note

In a gypsy camp (near Hacibektas during the big festival) and at sunset, the children were queuing up to see their portrait on my LCD... The girl in orange wanted to have hers done this way.

I have them again................
A good and funny double portrait,full of joy and clever composed with this lonely tree in the far distance.
It``````````s not the best exposure but I like the warm light and the pose of these girls.
While driving in the rain from Göreme via Nidge to Mersin I```````ve seen a lot of Gypsy camps.

J'adore la scène, la joie, et les couleurs de cette scène.
Mais je me demande si je n'aurais pas renoncé au buisson afin de tailler cette scène à son essentiel...Mais ce n'est qu'une question...et, comme je ne dispose pas du grand format de l'original, je ne sais pas vraiment quelle aurait été mon choix...

Hi Cath, great shot of these girls having fun, as you say, with nothing to worry about, no reason to be serious. Compositionally it might have been good to have shot a bit to the left, leaving them less central and the tree balancing, but I guess composition is difficult when they are flying around all over the place. cheers, Steve

A joyous and spontaneous image of children. Very well taken with a pleasing amount of blurring on the orange clothed girl. The light is lovely, and the one tree provides some interest on the horizon and give a sense of depth.

What a swing action! I like the moment of fun and laughter from the excitement.

Your angle of shot somehow gives the impression of optical distortion that has the effect of the photo being compressed vertically, maybe it is because of the slant that the girl in the swing as a result of DOF blur. I like the capture.

j'aime beaucoup la joie de l'enfance qui se dégage de cette photo et le choix de la petite fille :). Pour moi, le buisson est important dans la composition. Il accentue l'effet "savane" du paysage, et donne un élément d'accroche au regard par delà les petites filles. Il y a petit curieux effet de distorsion, je vois que bill (trekks) a déjà une explication. :) J'aurais bien vu une augmentation sélective de la saturation de cet orange...et un peu moins de couleur dans les champs...tu as posté sous les formats permis :)))
J'ai fait un ws, mais vite vite:)

Une photo bien amusante, on ne peut s'empêcher d'éclater de rire en les regardant s'amuser!!
J'aime aussi beaucoup ton ws où l'on sent la connivence entre toi et ces enfants, dans les regards qu'ils te lancent.
Tu as vraiment le don de t'adapter et de créer un lien avec les gens, je t'admire!
N'oublie pas que je t'attends un de ces prochains dimanche à Liège, je serais curieuse de te voir à l'oeuve ;-))
