Serre de montué (1706m) Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hello,
I do not count any more the number of times or I am assembled to the "serre de montué" the evening to benefit from the last gleams (the shortly after a snowfall). I know, on the other hand, that the times or I was entitled to the sun amounts on the fingers of a hand. Indeed, this top is famous to be often in the fog and the stratums. But there, I was entitled to a splendid gift. I am assembled quietly in the fog towards 17:00 of the village of "Font d'urle" located at 1:00 of walk and 250m low (1450m). I imagined already my descent in the black night and the fog with a head light which gave already signs of weakness from several exits. I arrived towards 18:00 at the top and still least the not cleared up frank one. The minutes passed and I hoped like practice and as an idiot who the sky went released in a few minutes. And well, the idiot, it was right to freeze them at the top during 1/2h because the miracle arrived. The top of the "serre de montué" emerged in 5 minutes, 25 minutes before the disappearance of The sun… alleluia. I had to beat the world records of the number of catch of sight at the top of this MARVELLOUS MOUNTAIN in 30 minutes. Here is a small summary of my evening to the Greenhouse of Montué. The descent occurred without Problems, the stratums had practically disappeared.

Une magnifique photo avec visiblement une splendide ambiance que tu fais bien ressorir dans ton texte. Je uis d'acord avec toi , ces apparitions de soleil si meritees sont les meilleures. Peut etre que tu devrais faire un petit coup de photoshop sur la trace de yéti qu on voit sur la gauche du cairn, pour la faire disparaitre...

Hi Fabien,
good one, beautiful proportions, the enclosure of the stone heap is essential, together with the red clouds leading into the distance you get an enormous depth.

Une très belle image, avec des couleurs harmonieuses et de beaux effets de nuages. Bravo pour ta persévérance: mes deux tentatives sur le plateau de Font d'Urle ont été catastrophiques, pour moi le brouillard ne s'est pas levé. Cette superbe vue me donne envie de refaire une tentative...

Superbe voilà une histoire qui me rappelle une de mes sortie.... mais moi je n'ai pas eu la chance de voir partir les nuages.
J'aime bien l'effet du vent sur la neige.

Il va quand même falloir que je monte un jour à ce Serre de Montué surtout quand l'ambiance est aussi belle entre brumes, cirrus et lumière du soir!

Tu as bien fait de d'obstiné, cela a fini par payer.

Une photo magnifique comme tu sais si bien les faire. Le kairn recouvert de neige est un très bon premier plan. J'aime beaucoup aussi les nuages accrochés aux montagnes et le ciel est superbe. Tu as bien fait d'attendre. Bravo !

Another very beautiful but really cold image, wow the texture of the snow and rock is fantastic. The light so well controlled and manage. the warm color in the sky with beautiful cloud make this a really excellent composition. Technically all is great. Congratulations and thanks for bring me this image, so I can enjoy it from the comfort of my home, it would be to cold for me up there.
