Photographer’s Note
I have seen this effect many times. When the air temp and water temp are just right a mist forms and floats over the water like smoke. This photo was taken shortly after dawn giving the yellow glow on the horizon. Making it look like a possible fire. This time I had my camera with me to catch this interesting occurence.

this kind of mist usually come out before and after sunrise and sunset. you are just right at the moment! good to have a camera with you all the time, so you can "freeze" lots unforgetable moments. nice sunset color! well done!
