Photographer’s Note

At last,it seems that autumn, my favourite season, has arrived! It is the time to discover or re-discover, my favourite part of Greece, the northern, mountainous one, almost completely unknown to the foreign visitors. And at last, time to visit or revisit, the greek lakes one of my favourite subjects (SEE MY LAKES AND LAGOONS OF GREECE THEME).

I know, Greece is "famous" for its islands and its beaches and its summer, and all this, but there is a "diferent" Greece, IMHO, even more beautiful, worth to be visited, and trekked, during autumn, winter and spring, and I say that despite being an "islander" myself. There are sometimes that i wish I were a "highlander"!

Photo taken at Lake Plastiras, an artificial lake created after the contstruction of a dam in the late 50's, at an altitude of 800 m. On the right part of the photo, you can see one of the many beautiful villages of the region, Kerasia.

Bonjour,
il en faut de la patience pour voir les photos et comme tu dis, c'est pénible et décourageant
mais je peux enfin voir cette superbe photo de la nuit qui tombe sur ce lac avec des couleurs superbes, un bon cadrage avec la petite ville éclairée sur la gauche

Yes another day wents away from our lives, this is the rality.
But on the other hand, this capture is so brilliant and wonderfull.

wonderful colours and light!I can't see if it's automn because it's to much dark,but I can see the beauty of this moment,its quietness with the lonely boat on the smooth water!I love the lights of the town in the black silhouettes of the mountain!Magnificent!

The sunset is something magical - however bad the day was, the sunset when is beautiful - makes it magical.

another awesome shot again! 30 secs shows magic here. autumn is my favorite season too because it is colorful and u can feel the different and change in just a month, the air is getting clear since the cold air and wind drive the humid and moist out from summer. thanks for this colorful one!

I like the dynamic of this shot as the clouds are coming from the city. Impressive colours. I agree with your note. Greece is far else than the beaches, the islands and the summer. In fact the light I like in Greece is not the summer light. Autumn seems to me a beautiful season to visit the North, Makedonia and central Greece... I will do it sure, this year or another year! Then, you here is returned in the sterea ellada!
When I came back from Greece this summer, the plane followed a road which I had never taken, over the West part of Greece before glancing through Albania then Montenegro. I was surprised by the importance of lakes, I did not think that there was so much, my thoughts went towards many friends of TE who often photograph these wild and unknown regions.
Here, I like this mixture of austerity and peace, unreal colors in the center and the life represented by the lights of the city and the boat on the other side of the diagonal.

an image that has the instant attention. The dawn moment is vivid with strong colors. The long exposure provides that nice pattern of moving clouds providing that dynamic impression of diagonal from the left lower corner to the upper right corner.

έχει φτάσει κι'εδώ, στο Βέλγιο το Φθινόπωρο αλλά δεν υπάρχει συχνά καλός φωτισμός. Σήμερα που είναι εξαιρετική μέρα δεν έχω εγώ το χρόνο λόγο πολλής δουλιάς!
