He just does not understand! Why did I give him 500 rupees??? I gave him an entire amount worth $12.50 in American money. I forgot my xd cards for my camera, all my expensive camera batteries, and my pen drives somewhere. I ran back to everywhere I had been with no luck, (except the internet, I forgot where it was, Jodhpur is a maze of ancient streets). I was frantic so I asked my hotel owner 'what should I do'. He said to go to the police, no one will willingly give them back. I went to the local police, and was ignored. As a last hope I went back to the restaurant I ate at that day, and walked back a different way. There was the internet. The owner said he had my stuff, the minute I saw him. I gave him 500 rupees reward for his honesty. He could not understand, it wasn't his, so why would he not give it back. He wanted me to meet his mother, or go to dinner, or let him take me sightseeing. He said "he had beautiful eyes, and eyebrows". I love India because of people like him, honest and sweet.
