Photographer’s Note
On 27 September 2008, Taiwan held its 6th annual LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) parade, reportedly the largest demonstration of its kind in all of Asia. Numbering well over 5,000, supporters from across Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Europe, and beyond, braved the rain and marched across central Taipei to promote the message of sexual equality and tolerance.
20 years ago, Taiwan had just ended nearly four decades of martial law that had stifled all forms of civic engagement. But today, citizens freely express their views without fear, as shown vividly in this latest parade of love.

Hi Andy,
thanks for sharing this colourful shot from the precious event! May respect and legal rights for LGBT people spread around the world while they are still missing in too many contries.
BTW I posted some shots of this year italian LGBT pride.
Regards,
Günther
