Photographer’s Note
This is Salmon Lake on the Douglas Lake Ranch (apparently the largest operating cattle ranch in Canada). The photograph was taken at first light, just as the mist was starting to burn off.
The grasslands that comprise the ranch are essentially limited to the this region of British Columbia. It is an area that I find very attractive and relaxing: It is a little removed from the usual tourist haunts.
