This is the second pic in my A Walk Down Main Street series. I ask that you view the series in order please (if you're so inclined of course!). The street has a story. Cheers!

So does anyone need to use a pay phone? Hmmm? Well, of course not I guess… everyone seems to have cell phone these days…
Well anyways this is our next stop on our walk up Main. To the right you have a corner store if anyone wants anything, and to the left we have a nice little café/bar if any of you want to come back later for a coffee or a pint.
You’re all very lucky to be doing the tour on such a nice autumn day! Well, let’s carry on shall we?
Post-pro: curves, sharpening, and I cloned out a little plant leaf in the lower right corner.

Cool composition. The shadows seem to be in just about the right place too.

composition of brick-red, pale-blue and grey.
I find it humorous the way they put up these phones for the S and the XL among us :-) and as a former telephone technician I admire the neatness of the installation done here. Even the graffitist had the decency of using the same tint of blue as the tint on the phone-booth.
I love the picture !

i like the colors and the composition, simple, straight on...the shadows are nice...
i just started working downtown and i am going to start taking the bus since driving my own car more than 6 miles to work really isn't fun! i was going do a series of my trip downtown, because i've discovered that downtown is actually very interesting, full of photogenic people and buildings...stay tuned!

I missed two steps of the walk down in Main street, I will come back and comment later.
So ... a very graphic shot, very nice composition Alex, near to perfection !

A fine chamber-music-like photo.
There is a little story to it about payphones, how they look in this corner of the world, how they are (not) used and how they are treated.
Formally a few themes are played through, the surface of the wall versus the lines of the phone installation, the dark and flat red of the bricks versus the shiny alu of the phones, symmetry with slight variation and the pattern of the shadow.
These elements can of course be found in most photos, but here they are clearly articulated. There is a certain risk of boredom in this kind of composition but you avoid it, good work.
