Photographer’s Note
Fishermen at the La Habana harbour inlet. In the background you see the citadel at the opposite side of the inlet. Here you can see them from a different POV.

Bonjour Christian

Very nice light, Christian, giving those fishermen a golden glow. The distant buildings and wall have a nice texture and pastel tones, so I like your use of telephoto to make them the background. I think I would rather see more of the buildings at upper left, and less wall, to have more cultural context. Perhaps a POV lower and to the right would accomplish this, along with a bit less zooming in. So head back to La Habana and see how that works! (;-) Regards, Ken.

There’s something strange in the way we all live our lives. At some level everything looks similar! This shot could well have been from India or Brazil and there wouldn’t have been any differene. I love the way you have captured this.

Ciao Christian,
un altro bello scatto, in questo mi piace molto la luce morbida e calda che hai catturato, molto bella anche la luce che colpisce i fili delle canne da pesca crea un bell'effetto.
un saluto
Giorgio

Bonsoir Chistian,
The light which arrives on the fishermen is very beautiful and full of transparency. There is a beautiful unity in colors. I like these tints pastel, particularly those of the background where we guess houses. Beautiful DOF.

Ciao Christian! Che bella immagine ben inquadrata, ben fatta! Piena di vita e di movimento. Il soggetto è molto nitido e a fuoco, e va bene che lo sfondo sia più sfumato.
ciao!!

Hello Christian
For me,from this point of view it`s a lot more better then the other one,it`s more interesting, not only to see the fishermens from the back,it`s much more view catching.
Nicely framed and again the warm light of the day making a pleasure to look at.
Kind regards,
Lucian

Hi Christian,
A very strong capture. There's a lot of atmosphere here. The light, the nonchalant attitude of the men and the effect of the tele. Still a great fan of all pictures about Cuba! :)

Hallo Christian,
You have really a great Cuban serie here on TE. Every picture is well thought created and presented with a certain style, i like that. Not easy to bring up so much good work from one destination without loosing quality but so far you keep on delivering that quality...respect.
Here the soft light, the neutral colours, the fisherman bathing in sunlight, it all fits perfectly in this image.
Regards, Henk

Beleza!
Your Cuban Gallery Christian is really awesome! I get kind of envious thinking about my Cuba trip back in 2000 equipped with a poor compact analog cam ;-)
I did like a lot the soft golden hues of the evening sun reflecting on the bodys of the fishermen. Really a great composition with beatiful soft natural colours.

Hi Christian,
A nice continuation of your harbour fishing shots. They are all concentrating at their task at hand and I like that they are all in different stances. Great use of depth of field, but what really makes the shot is that light coming from behind them. Great!

Wanda

Hi Christian,
i'm still in Cuba since i'm so awfull with my "promptness" latelly... This one is so soft. Light is wonderful, warm, it feels like she loves your you and your camera :). I also like the focus and softened background. These two create wonderful surrounding for those fishermen so envolved in their work. Everybody doing the same at such a small spot and everybody hoping to score. :) It feels like watching our lives, doesn't it? :) Fantastic photo. And I know the reason for it is not the camera. ;)
Cheers from neighbour,
Jeri
