Photographer’s Note
A field of cut grass waiting to be collected for silage to provide winter feed for the farmers cattle.
PP
In order to achieve this image I created two copies of the same shot, a dark underexposed and a light overexposed.
I then created a copy via layers with the light one on top and selected the sky and cut it out.
I then did some clone work to tidy up the image and some final levels and sharpening.

I really like the great colors you have on the filed and the contrast with this dark sky.
Very well done and managed Stephen.

Your postprocessing work is very successfull and give a very deep image. Wonderful patterns and contrast between the bright fields and the grey sky. Very well composed, captured and processed, Stephen.

Wow, the post processing is really good here. It helps create quite a dramatic effect. Just as with yesterday's post the lines in the field are excellent, especially in their directions and breaking the frame. And this time they lead to very dramatic distances. The lighting and shading and sky all match up very naturally despite the large contrast and gives this landscape a lot of life. Very good work all around.

Nice PP work Stephen. I was wondering how you managed to get the dark bit so dark, and yet the fields almost exploding with color!
Great composition, and sharpness. Overall a good shot.
My one suggestion to make it better:
I don't think the PP would be as noticeable if the dark bit was just trees etc. But you can see the rounding of the hill in black, and in front of it- you have the rounding of the hill in bright color, which I think kind of gives it away.
Cheers!

It's a god work of creation.

bonjour Stephen,
je choisi celle-ci car le jeu de sillons est tout à fait exceptionnel. Les teintes de vert et de jaunes sont uniformes, la photo très bien équilibrée.
excellent.
