Photographer’s Note
This was taken on a very bright, sunny day on Coco Cay, in the Bahamas. This is a base of a small lighthouse on the island, looking out toward the Atlantic Ocean, with the cruise ship "Sovereign of the Seas" waiting on the horizon. Usually these two chair were occupied, but I waited and waited and finally discovered them empty, and the ship in the right place, so snapped this picture. Cropped, levels adjusted, sharpened.

Great occassion, good patience ;-)
I would crop out the ceiling, because it gives a bit of a "crooked" impression to the picture (easy to check, slide this page up and down so you can see the pic with or without ceiling...)

I love the framing, and I would not crop out the ceiling. I think the slanted line at the top adds interest, and cropping it out would also weaken the effect of being framed on 4 sides.

Hi Robert,
Very good POV.
The 2 chairs are as significant as the boat.
I hope that it's not the end of the "Speed 2" movie !
Regards.

What a lovely picture! This picture is full of hope, especially with the presence of the cruise ship. You took this picture at the right time and place!

I would crop ceiling and sea horizon is pending on one side. Pity, it could be nice shot.

Seeing ur shot my thoughts ran like this:
How about two old couple sitting facing each other and as ur title says, "someday our ship(for heavenly abode) will come in."

Hello
I personally would leave the cieling there. The waterline isn't totally straight, when you take off the cieling this becomes apparent. With the cieling there, the waterline looks just fine since our eye notices the "crookedness" of the cieling instead of that of the waterline.
Nicely done picture though.
