Photographer’s Note
This watchtower "Talaia d’Albercutx" has an amazing view over the Formentor Peninsula and bays of Pollenca and Alcudia. But the road to it is very bad, without guard rails, so you have to be carefull.
I arrived here for sunset but there was a lot of kissing couples waiting for the romantic moment. I did get a few shots of the sunset here but not where I would have liked. Also I was asked a few times to take pictures with there own P&S. After the the sunset the people left and I had the place to myself and made best of available light. Quite a place and climb.

Hello Stephen
Splendid work as usual. The contrasts in the FG really draws the eyes with superb neutral tones in the rocks. The watchtower which is darker compliments the still lit skies and off sunset colours. For good measure, some of the moon thrown in the distance. You were right to stay behind after the couples left.

Jim

Hi Stephen,
amazing quality with great details in the fg; compo with the tower standing against the beautiful blue hour works very well and it's a pleasure to look at. The little moon is the classic icing on the cake..fantastic job!

Hi Stephen,
Beautiful shot. Love the detail in the rocks and the clarity of the sky.
I can remember many years ago borrowing a hotel bicycle with the intention of cycling here. Needless to say, with only one gear we didn't get very far!

Stephen,
This is a fantastic blue hour shot! The rocks in the foreground provide excellent contrast to the rest of the scene. The sky and moon provide an excellent backdrop for the tower. The off center placement of the tower allows us to see the sunset colors to the right.

Hi Steve,
Difficult shot, not easy to control the foreground light and the far background as well. The right part is not that interesting (although those colourful clouds look nice), but the front and the little lights on the far left is what i like.
A nice detail is the moon above...really nice.

Wonderful shot! The composition is excellent, with the rocks building up from the base to a peak where the tower is. Nice detail too. with some really good texture in the rocks. Superb work!

Like a scene from a fantasy cartoon, a bit SF-like, magical...terrific stuff! Amazing blue.

Hi Stephen,
The scenery looks very interesting, nice low light, colours and very good details, exposure control is superb, did you use multiple exposures blended together? I think it workS well without the city lights visible on the left (please see my workshop), a bit more wild and mysterious, anyway, great stuff!
Best wishes,
Tomasz
