Photographer’s Note
This photograph shows the view from the former Greenwich Royal Observatory down in the direction of the maritime museum and the city. Greenwich Royal Observatory is famous because in its premises were laid the basement of today's geographical coordinate system. The prime meridian was defined here.
Today the former observatory houses a famous museum dealing with astronomy, time-keeping and navigation.
Technical note:
In order to get these impressive clouds together with a bright foreground I combined and tonemapped 2 exposures in Photomatix 3. The usual post-processing (resizing, sharpening) was done in XNView.
