Photographer’s Note
Day IV - 1:46 pm
And I was imagining Snowboarders going to Manhattan...
And I was imagining Snowboarders standing in the cabin among people, all dressed up, going to work...
And I was imagining Snowboarders riding the Skyscrapers...
Other views in the WS : a large one, another one from the slope...

Hi Stephane,
Indeed a surprising place for these cable car. Rather a different background then I saw a fortnight ago in the neighbourhood of Chamonix. But this dark façade is a perfect background too.

Simple and effective idea - the gondolla works well against the blackness of the background...
The light reflecting off it is nice too.
Unique vertical cropping!

Bonjour Stephane,
Yves.

Salut Stéphane! I took one on Sunday and drove through thick fog for a pretty long time, and dived up in heaven on over 2200 meters :) Funny to see the New York City version and I love your dark approach, mine is full of clouds and therefore white ... shall I post it, shall I not ... we will see. So much your style, I like it a lot. Barbara.

Hello Stephane,
great contrast, very crazy on this dark glass wall of the huge city. You don`t relize at the first moment where you are.
You expect mountains as a background but not this bloody building.
This glass monument could be a bit lighter in my opinion but this version gives maybe more secret to it.

Interesting framing this one you have composed for your shot of this suspended cabin Stephane. The marked contrast of the cabin against the dark buildings in the background is very effective.
Best regards

Bonjour Stephane,
You know I looked at this several times, not sure if I liked it. But, if you scroll to the bottom of the photo it becomes a black void the car is suspended in, and when you scroll back to the top, the windows in the building re-appear! I'm not sure if this is my monitor only, a stroke of luck, or pure genius. Serendipity, maybe.

Roger

Hi Stephane
Well captured this suspended cabin. I like the narrow format and how you framed it.
Great contrast with the dark background

Hello Stephane,
Focus on the cable car, this is very nice idea and a good experimental picture.
I like the black colour around the cable car, very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

What the pov and lack of background can do to our imagination. Good idea to display this lift apparently high up but then in the ws we can see it just about street level. Good catch an result from the urban city environment...

Jean-Charles

Bonjour Stephane
Trust you to create something so unique...the dark lower half gives the feeling of the cable car suspended over nothingness....and add to that the thin frame...wow!
Best Regards
Angshu
PS : Am off to Kolkata tomorrow. Should be back my middle of October
