Oslo

(called 'Christiania' from 1624 to 1878, and 'Kristiania' from 1878 to 1924) is the capital and largest city of Norway. It is also a municipality and a county of its own. It is the third-largest Scandinavian city, after Copenhagen and Stockholm, and it forms the third-largest urban area in the region, also after Copenhagen and Stockholm.

The city of Oslo was established as a municipality on 3 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). It was separated from the county of Akershus as a county of its own in 1842. The rural municipality of Aker was merged with Oslo on 1 January 1948 (and then transferred from Akershus county to Oslo county). Furthermore, Oslo shares several important functions with Akershus county.

Oslo's share of the national GDP is 17%; the metropolitan area's share is 25%. Oslo is one of the most expensive cities in the world.

Telekom işindeyken Oslo'da 1 yıl kalmıştım. Çok güzel bir şehir, çok güzel bir ülke. Fotoğrafa bakıyorum neler değişmiş diye. Hafızam beni zorluyor. Zaman makinası, beni 20 yıl geriye götürdün.

Sol ust kosedeki binalar herhalde katedral - katedralin konumu, karsi taraftaki tepe, minik bir bogaz gecisi ile cok dengeli bir kadraj olmus. Elinize saglik.

This is a well composed shot of this fine harbor. The inclusion of the historic buildings on the left works well. The photo has nice depth using the water to lead the eye through the scene.

Dear Burak,
I am glad about this photo because good pictures are visible rarely from this interesting city. The optic angle very good, like the different ships in the harbour. The old town's detail is very cosy on the left side of the picture. Superb shot. Have a nice Sunday

Bonsoir, mon bon ami Burak,
A travers votre très bel album, j'ai l'impression que vous avez toujours un pied dans un autre pays. Mes voyages se font autour de ma chambre "clin d'oeil à l'écrivain Xavier de Maistre" (ou plus exactement de mon bureau).
Pour ma part, je suis ravi de découvrir de nouveaux paysages présentés avec intérêt (notes d'accompagnement très documentées).

çok güzel bir açıdan nefis bir manzara.ben gidip görmedim ama gidenler harika fotograf veriyor diyorlar norveç için.ön planda limanın sade doğal görüntüsü ile arka plan görüntüsü çok güzel olmuş elinize sağlık.

High above the ships you could make this wonderful image about the harbour from Oslo.
Excellent composition, you place nice the church to the left, we get a excellent view about the harbor, with a nice view on the skyscrapers in background.

A splendid view taken from a vantage POV. I appreciate the way you made the compo, it's very well balanced in every detail and helps much making the photo very attractive. Of course, the presence of the beautiful sail boats also contributes to that.
