Photographer’s Note

On the southern part of Agonda beach, South Goa. It looks very nice, neat and clean on the photo... but I had to lower my POV, in order not to see the plastic waste in the water of this little stream... The waste management in Goa, one of the most visited places of India, is, at best, non existent... and littering is a common habit, to domestic, as well as foreign, tourists....

Nous sommes au Sud de la plage d'Agonda... Tous a l'air propre et bien net... mais j'ai du me baisser pour ne pas montrer tous les sacs en plastique, bouteilles d'eau, etc... qui jonchent les berges de ce petit ruisseau... Le gouvernement ne fait absolument rien pour nettoyer les plages et, jeter ses ordures n'importe ou, est un mal commun aux touristes Indiens et étrangers...

Un très joli paysage exotique. La lumière de fin de journée donne de belles couleurs chaudes. On ne se douterait que la pollution règne dans ce lieu qui parait idillique.

Interesting how the palm trees seem to incline along the slope. Beautiful place indeed, full of natural beauty. Is hard to imagine though that people can be so careless as to such litter such paradise. Nice composition capturing excellent warm light and colours. Thanks Laurent.

un paysage, certes exotique et bien mis en valeur par la lumière et le bon choix du cadrage. J'aime les différentes teintes de couleur du ciel parsemé de nuages et j'espère qu'on aura l'occasion de retourner ensemble dans ce sympathique endroit ;)

On pourrait penser à un endroit paradisiaque, mais ta note nous fait déchanter, et pourtant tout semble là, la lumière, les couleurs et même les palmiers!!
Du bon boulot et une note intéressante!!

Hi Laurent,
This looks so idyllic...the leaning palms, the soft sand and the little stream together with the warm light all work towards this feeling. I would never say from your photo that there is a lot of rubbish. Love the clouds too and the bits of bright blue sky peeping out.

Une jolie vue de la cote goaise, je reconnais les couleurs chaudes, les cocotiers, la végétation luxuriante, le sable orange, je ne sais pas plus se de mes mémoires se de tes photos. :-) Le cardage et la netteté sont superbes et tu as réussit de cacher bien les déchets, car des ordures c'est la dernière chose qu'on rappelle en regardant cette image de rêve.

The light is excellent. Good balance between the palm trees bowing down to the left & the hill on the right. An insiders view of Goa, I guess :-) & then talking about the plastic bags..I hope Govt. does something to enforce the ban! Good work here

Il est tout à fait regrettable qu'un aussi joli endroit soit en réalité souillé et pollué visuellement de déchets humains, pas mal gérés, mais pas gérés. Une belle image de ce que devrait être cet endroit. Un bon sujet, une bonne note, une bonne image.

yes, it looks beautiful and clean. I'm sad about what you wrote in the note. You did a great job to hide all that waste, making it a real wonderful beach scenary. Love the warm lights and the way you composed with the palms at the left and the hill at the right. The exposure also pleases me a lot. Very well done!

comment veux tu que mon fils n'aie pas envie de venir vivre à Goa,si il voit une pareille photo!C'est magnifique!Bien sûr;la lumière est tellement belle,ainsi que les couleurs,mais il y a aussi cette plage qui paraît sauvage et deserte!Je ne sais pas si ellle l'est tant que ça en réalité,vu la note qui remet les choses au point,mais ce que j'en vois ce soir sur cette photo me révèle une splendeur!

Waste is main problem in many countries and its really unrecognizable without your informative note. Slided coconut trees are creates attractive view with harsh green textures at ridges. Amazing sky and sandy parts are wonderful in their natural colors and sharpness. Congratulations.

Un joli paysage certes, mais le meilleur moyen pour nettoyer la photo c'est d'utiliser le tampon de clônage, sur le sable c'est facile et cela ne se voit pas.
M'enfin la réalité étant tout autre c'est dommage pour ce joli coin.
