This picture was taken before I left the ship to board the tender to land at Espanola Island. Espanola Island is one of the island that is part of the Galapagos Island Group in Ecuador. Espanola is the oldest island (3.4 million years old)in the Galapagos group. The place is arid and has no fresh water source, it is basically inhabitable by humans, though a haven for sea birds.

There is only one rocky path to follow on this island and you must be with a naturalist travel guide.

The view here is of Gardner Bay which is the west side of the island. It was a very cloudy day and the sun hardly comes out through the clouds. It soon came out though after an hour.
