Photographer’s Note
Bararranna gorge is near Arkaroola, in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia. A short walking track leads from the car park through the gorge to this point. From here you have to swim if you want to go further - the water hole is permanent despite being in a semi-arid area. It's a good place for reflections, especially late afternoon which is when this photo was taken. The bluish colour of the rocks is real: with no direct sunlight in the gorge the only source of light is the blue sky above.
Scanned from a slide. Polariser used. I applied a contrast mask in Photoshop to brighten up the shadows.

Hi Vincent. Such beautiful colours and incredible sense of stillness. The golden shape at the top surrounded by the bluish shadows and the much more substantial reflection that also includes the reddish colours and the sky make this a creative creation. Regards. Klaudio.
