Night Time Surf Photo

Photographer’s Note

This wasn't actualy quite night time when i took this but more like half an hour after sunset.
There was a huge swell hitting Isle of Wight's west coast and Freshwater Bay was getting its fair share of surf!
The light winds allowed me to get a fairly long exposure without the risk of sea spray on the filter, infact i didn't just use one filter, but instead i used 2 Grad filters, an ND2 and an ND8 to allow the moon to be exposed correctly while using my Sigma 17-70mm lens.

Note: I did originally try and compose the shot looking slightly more to the left, but an ugly sea wall ruined my fun!

ola jamie. bela foto que explora muito bem as cores e o movimento do mar. bela composição e enquadramento, bem o tempo de abertura que dá um belo efeito na água em mvimento. muito boa técnica

Awesome...I still couldn't get that kind of detail in the moon...there are many stops of difference.
Composition is very nice, leading the eye from left to right, and the fantastic blurred water work wonderfully...top material you got here.
