Photographer’s Note

This place has become one of my favourite since I discovered it. It's situated off the beaten track, a few kilometres far from Redondo, in the Alentejo and I believe it's mainly seen by the locals. Well,I just love it, it represents everything I like in the Alentejo, the light, the widess and these endless fields. I guess I'm going to return there one of these days to get another one, the place deserves that. Meanwhile, I leave you this one, just for you to have an idea of this place.

Hi Ana, this photo can be considered as a simple shot by some people; but of course not by the real lovers of Alentejo, like myself. I am really in love with the vast and endless plains of this beautiful region, especially during the winter and early spring when all these fields are covered with wild flowers. Despite it appears to be dry in the summer time, the loneliness of those cork trees is enough to make me feel the spirit of Alentejo. Best regards, Tolga

your lonely tree captures where part of my inspiration for mine lately. A double tree one is just more ( also to count :-)
Good balance of natural tones with a view of nearly nothing, showing the space around the trees.

Bom dia Anabela, bela composição minimalista que trasmite bem a minha ideia da paisagem alentejana. E em vez da habitual árvore isolada temos duas a compartilhar este espaço todo. Neste tipo de arranjos simétricos gosto de ser perfecionista e por isso estou com vontade de cortar um pouco do lado esquerdo para ter as duas árvores à mesma distância dos lados. Conheço um pouco desta zona pois um amigo meu construíu um monte nos últimos anos (perto de Terena/Hortinhas) e agora que o trabalho está todo feito, quer vendê-lo.

It's a very simple but very pleasant and effective composition, I never really imagin Portucal to have such arid area also. The endless field and the big open sky give it the feel of free spirit. Great details and sharpness. TFS

você têm razão em tê-lo eleito seu favorito.
O contraste entre a imensidão da vegetação rasteira com a duas árvores isoladas na planície são muito bonitas.
Interessante que parece que já comentei outra foto sua muito parecida com esta.

Olá Ana,
Está fabulosa! Que vastidão de terra e de céu! Posicionaste muito bem as árvores e o cardo em primeiro plano, acho que sem ele teria bem menos profundidade e ficaria ligeiramente monótona, embora o céu não seja nada monótono e a força da imagem venha muito da vastidão quase vazia.
