Photographer’s Note
from the 11th century. Runestones are generally memorials to deceased men, and most would be made during the period 950-1100. In Sweden we have about 3500 runestones.(about 6000 in the world)

Hello Boa,
I have seen many standing stones and stone circles but never a rune stone before.
Your low pov, and setting it against that dramatic sky, has made it even more imposing.
Good off-centre composition and nicely balanced by the tree.
(I think you may have a speck of dirt on the lens!)
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Esta fotografía está para póster, muy buena. El contraste del cielo con el verdor de la tierra es impresionante!!!

Hello Boa,
your photos definitely have a very interesting style!
I saw these runic stones in some parts of Uppland... actually they are sometimes quite boring to be photographed :) You never know what's the best POV for them!
but you chose an interesting perspective, with the tree on the left. Very dramatic effect, indeed!
TFS and best regards,
Elena

Hello Boa, a good composition with the stone set just to one side. The carved details are very clear. The background of trees and the dark sky make it a memorable picture.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Boa,
Wonderful presentation with super details. I thing the dark sky here really adds drama to this composition. Well done, Mike
