Photographer’s Note
I spent a couple of very peaceful hours watching the sun sink behind the iconic bridges across the Firth of Forth, I took about fifty images (praise be for the gift of Digital Imagery!) and this was one of my favourites.
In the foreground you can see the rays of the setting sun reflecting from the end of a boathouse with a small boat beside it and then the famous Forth Rail Bridge and behind that the Forth Road Bridge.
It's a pity I can't suffuse this image with the peaceful sounds of the moment or the smells of the sea so you'll just have to imagine that!
No post processing necessary on this image beyond a touch of sharpening after resizing (and obviously the framing)
Enjoy your photography everyone.

Hi martin,
i'm very astonished. This picture is a great work and you had just one critique on it. I love the compositoin of the old and newer bridge in the background and the romantic house and vessel in the foreground. The sunset is beautiful and the positon of the sun between the beams is very well. The sky is dramatic and i think you had lucky with this sunset.
Very good Work
Best regards
Marcel
