Photographer’s Note

Last weekend I went to visit Lisbon Zoo and besides the animals, of course, these red sunshades grab my attraction because of their great visual impact.
And of course because of the Coca-Cola bottle, the most famous drink in the world.

'Coca-Cola' was created on 8th May 1886 by Dr. John S. Pemberton, and was first offered as a soda fountain beverage - produced by mixing 'Coca-Cola' syrup with carbonated water - at Jacob's Pharmacy, Atlanta.

The word 'Coca-Cola' itself is even thought to be the second most widely understood word in the world after 'OK'!

Well Teresa,
your picture grabbed my attention too because on the thumbnail, I could not really understand what I was looking at. With the actual picture, I got it of course and I think that shooting this was a very good graphic idea, something like the deconstruction of the famous bottle. My only -tiny- pick is that bit of green left in the upper right-hand corner. Mind you , it can be easily dealt with, right?

As cores, principalmente o vermelho, estão sensacionais. E a nitidez é mesmo excelente. Parabéns por esta imagem tão bem conseguida.

I like the asymmetry of your composition and the perfect sharpness of the white drawings on the red supports. Great light management too

What a cruel shot..............no dinks, no bottles, just luring through the small opening as if a bottle would raise up and say cheers.
The red dominates but I feel disturbed by the chopping off the neck of the upper botle...........not a single bubble has poppd up.
What have you done?
Ignited my thirst for coke Teresa.......you are really cruel.

Olá Teresa,
pocos fotógrafos tienen la intuición y el ojo para ver estas composiciones, y crear imágenes con un fuerte grafismo y mucho impacto visual. Pero tú sabes hacerlo, y siempre nos sorprendes con fotos como ésta, fuerte, directa y con un encuadre cerrado fantástico.
El resultado me gusta, y el color rojo que llena la imagen aumenta esta sensación óptica.
Un trabajo excelente, amiga.

Forgive me, but the note is interesting in contrary to the photograph. I don`t like it, although I drink sometimes this drink ;). I wouldn`t write anything if it wasn`t you :). Are you sure, that the word "mama" isn`t more understood?

Instead of most famous I would prefer wellknowm, as far as famous in french could mean that it is very tasty (and I think it's not really the case!).
Anyway cioncerning the picture yes it as a great impact and result is very pleasant to look at.

It has been months since posted this image, and with its brilliant red coloration, its abstract composition, and the excellent note you've provide, it makes an excellent package for Trekearth. I understand the original coca cola initially contained some "cocaine," hence the name.
