Photographer’s Note

The Prince of Wales Hotel is located in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada, overlooking Upper Waterton Lake, near the Canada-United States border. Constructed between 1926-1927, the hotel was built by the American Great Northern Railway to lure American tourists during the prohibition-era south of the border. The hotel was named after the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII), in a transparent attempt to entice him to stay in the hotel on his 1927 Canadian tour, but the Prince stayed at a nearby ranch instead .

The Prince of Wales Hotel enjoys the distinction of being the sole establishment among Canada's grand railway hotels to have been built by an American, as opposed to a Canadian, railway company. The hotel was designated a national historic site by the Canadian government in 1995.

Czuje sie zaproszona na herbatke! Piekny widok za oknem, dobrze, ze tam nie ma ludzi, ale przy stoliku moglby ktos siedziec ;)

Hello Malgorzata,

What a fabulously inviting image, a veritable poster advertising the hotel. The red in the carpet highlights the scene effectively, and your simple and understated black frame complements the frame of the plate glass also.

wspaniale miejsce na taki hotel z widokiem na jezioro, ladnie to prezentujesz. Szkoda, ze barwy niejednolite ale to wina okiennego szkla. Bez przerwy podrozujesz, juz jestes w Kanadzie. I jeszcze masz czas nam cos niecos wrzucic. Brawo.

I had to look twice at this, to ensure the excellent framing was as it came from the setting, hehehe!
Clever point of view letting us share the wonderful lake and surroundings, the window is clean maybe even too clean as I can see this tiny reflection!

I like your idea here M. and a good way to make this compo with good balance of inside and outside details. Delightful light on the table. Too bad with the washed out clouded background. Probably would a HDR done the trick here. Still an attractive result.

It looks a very pleasant place to take a tea. Tea for two... romantic atmosphere.
The colours are something strange but can be of the reflections.
