Photographer’s Note

Near the Canada-US border, this is the village of Abercorn in the Eastern Townships, located at 100 kms south-east of Montréal. Founded about 1792, the village was originally called "Sheppard's Mill". The belltower of the All Saints anglican church (circa 1870) can be seen. Pop: about 400.

Abercorn est un petit village d'environ 400 âmes, situé à 100 kms au sud-est de Montréal, près de la frontière Canado-américaine. Fondé vers 1792, il portait originallement le nom de "Sheppard's Mill" (moulin du berger). On peut voir le clocher de l'église anglicane All Saints, datant de 1870.
