The Parque Juan Carlos I is one of the largest parks in Madrid. With 220 hectares, also houses the Ifema exhibition centre, where they held some of the most important annual exhibitions in Europe such as the SIM. In addition, highlights the so-called Garden of the Three Cultures, which contains three gardens representing the Christian, Jewish and Muslim.

The park was opened in 1992, according to project architects and Luis Emilio Mats Esteban. This surrounded by a triangle formed by the Alameda de Osuna, the M-40 and the expressway that runs from it at Madrid-Barajas airport. One of the most features of the park is the Source Cybernetics, where in summer are organized multimedia shows that combine music, 300 water jets, fireworks and lighting. It represents an auditorium with capacity for 9,000 people.

The park gives great importance to water, integrating it into many elements, as in the estuary artificial almost two kilometres long. As for flora, there are over 2,000 olive trees, 10,000 trees of various species, 90,000 flowering plants and shrubs 100,000. In the area there is a municipal golf course Olivar de la Hinojosa.
