Photographer’s Note

Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. Istria lies in three countries. The largest portion belongs to Croatia, a small slice in the north lies in Slovenia, while a tiny region belongs to Italy.

Savudrija is a coastal settlement in northwestern Istria, Croatia. It has developed from a fishing village into a pleasant holiday centre.

The main sight of the settlement is a 29 m high lighthouse which stands on the westernmost point of the Istrian Peninsula and which is also the westernmost point of whole Croatia.
