Photographer’s Note
I posted this in my blog and i'm sharing it here as i want to share it with my fellow TE friends too. A friend of mine once commented that this picture is near to perfect, if it only was't because of the breeze over the water, it could have been a perfect shoot and one could hardly distinguish which is real and the reflection.
Well to take it is almost impossible if its by the sea. This mosque is around Kota Kinabalu and going for a night shoot with a tripod is a best thing to do.
Shooting at night is not an easy task, although setting the exposure is simple since you have a lightmeter built into DSLRs nowadays, yet the main problem is LEVELING. You can hardly get a ballance horizon if you just try to compose it on your viewfinder (or live view on latest technology DSLR). So here comes the "Spirit Leveling" block that could fit easily on your flash mount and you could do the shooting easily. Some tripod provide it, some not. With it, Leveling the horizon comes really handy at night, i just have to set my light on it, and the green liquid will just shine and you can see and adjust your camera till the buble in it stops exactly in the middle. I did lots of my Low Light condition shoots with the help of this tiny equipment. And here is the result, without leveling croping. so easy.

olá,
beautiful photo of a beautiful mosque! i love the dome of the mosques! much more sophisticated and beautiful compared to the other temples! this one is very beautiful and the light management and the reflex on the water makes it even more beautiful.
congratulations and tfs

Strictly agreed with you to shoot in the dark. Close to perfection? I think it already did. Good shot!
