Photographer’s Note

I took this picture because of the dark sky and light on the water pumping place. The little white cloud on the top is also one of my intention. In photoshop, I use contrast to make the water and the dark sky more appearant visually.

I really like the colors here. You have perfect positioning of the bridge (thing) to separate the orange from the dark gray. I think I would prefer to set the water tower/pump off to the right rather than centering it. Still excellent colors.

Fantastic colors and contrast.The red tones of the river are wonderful and contrast well with this dark and gry sky.Nice to see the shadow of this little "tower" oposite of this white cloud.

The contrast between the sunlight on the building and those looming clouds works really well as does the balance of the composition,there does however appear to be a left to right slope on the horizon that spoils it a touch for me.

I agree with Nigel, there seems to be a slight tilt, but for me that's a minor point. love the light and the colours, this is one of those decisive moments we all long for [and usually encounter when we're without the cameras, or in a place that does not offer much in terms of suitable compositions... ;)] the colours of the water is amazing - what's the reason for this muddy hue? whatever it is, that's a great contrast with the dramatic sky, excellent work, my compliments.

Hello Sothy,

I see very gladly that you use F/13 and 1/250 seconds exposure, this gives always a very great result.
We see a wonderful image, fantastic contrast colour through the light foreground together with very dark and imminent sky.

Hi Sothy,
Like on others recent posts of yours, this features an amazing light, which makes the not so usual colour of the water stand out much. The contrast of the brown water with the dark blue, yet cloudy sky, is an important part of its great appeal, another one being the "hole" in the sky on the upper left.
I wonder if you didn't try an off centred POV.

Very nice contrast of colors between the dark sky and this strangely colored river. Good framing with the positionning of the small bridge leading to the pumping station.
