Photographer’s Note

Punic ruins in Kerkouane are surrounded by the sea on one side and a garden on the other.

Kerkouane was built in the VIth century BC. Some of the houses were equipped with bath-tubs. Most of the citizens were involved with the production of Tyr crimson (a very valuable dye).
