This shot is made in Chellah, the Almohad Necropolis in Rabat, at sunset. The subject: cats are taking a nap against a backgound of the Roman ruins of Sala Colonia (on thr left), and the walls build by the Merenid dinasty.
...The site was abandoned in 1154 AD in favour of nearby Salé. The Almohad dynasty used the ghost town as a necropolis. In the mid-14th century, a Merinid sultan, Abu l-Hasan, built several monuments and the main gate (dated to 1339). I have increased the coloures a bit, also I warmed the colour temperature to 6000 K (originally it was 5000 K), and applied +3 point contrast.
