Photographer’s Note
This is a shot of Gurudongmar lake at 18000 feet. I had posted a wide angled shot of this lake earlier, decided one shot just doesn't do justice to this beautiful lake. Although it looks like there is an avalanche, it is actually the clouds blending in with the snow. Hope you enjoy!

Bonjour Shaeri,
une photo prodigieuse, des lumières fortes et aveuglantes mais finalement peu surexposées. La couleur de l'eau est séduisante.
Un endroit purement impressionnant.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hi Shaeri,
Another gorgeous image of the Sikkim Himalayas, wonderfully framed and featuring amazing clarity and colours. That blue of the water is fabulous and makes a very nice contrast with the dark brown dirt and rocks. Maybe technically there is OE on that "cloud avalanche" on the slope, but I find it very beautiful actually.
Regards, José.

Hi Shaeri, awesome sight with the clouds rolling over these mountains. This gives us a hint that this lake is not at ground level. I would imagine the air at this altitude was quite thin? Fantastic capture, very nice work.

Hi Shaeri,
A view like from another planet! Apert from a slight OE on the clouds (quite understandable, given the strong brightness) I like specially the vivid water color, and rugged textures.
Great view!

18000ft!.... It must have been quite difficult to breathe. The colour of the lake is stunning. The over exposed clouds aren't too bothersome, but the use of a ND grad filter would have adjusted the balance of light and eliminated that. However it is a wonderful sight.

Hi Shaeri,
This is a really gorgeous and very impressive view of this great landscape. The snow covering the mountain peaks is so beautiful and I like the contrast with the darker parts in the foreground. The lovely blue lake looks great in the foreground. Very well captured and thanks for sharing!

Hello Shaeri. Beautiful high altitude lake shot brilliantly. If not for the note, I would guess something like an avalanche too. I like the perspective and the contrast of the land and water in the frame. Very good work and thanks for sharing. Regards. Jusni

hello Shaeri
I am glad you have posted this superb nature's gift. I will surely love to be in this place. From your earlier post shot from a car, your travel to this spot by vehicle too? How many days do you need to acclimatise?
The color tone in this capture is simply superb, and great sharp detail with good DOF. A fine TE post.

hi Shaeri,
I see that others have already mentioned the slightly overexposed clouds, but I agree that it's not too distractive. after all, an eye would see exactly this. what really fascinates me is the colour of the water - amazing! I know that it's natural, and it makes it even better. very nice photo of this beautiful place.

Kristine

Hi Shaeri!
Fantastic landscape photography, from a place that very few of us will ever have the chance to see with our own eyes! Excellent composition and framing, perfect light managment, and, oh, those clouds, "kissing" the mountain! Congratulations!

Hello Shaeri!
Nice to see you posting again!
This is a very nice place, with this incredible blue lake close to the white moutains. That clouds sliding over the mountain really looks like an avalanche, as the snow looks like marshmallow, as the brown ground looks like chocolate cake, as the blue looks like "curaçao blue"!! ;-D

Hello Shaeri,
18,000 feet is such a serious height for my world. The emerald green of the lake makes it so inviting, and yet, as meltwater, it must be so very cold. You are right about the clouds appearing to mimic an avalanche.
Warm regards,
Bulent

hello shaeri
A wonderful panorama. Great colours and depth. Coulds going down are impressive. just a small regret : cloud part is a little over exposed and then they don't "take" the volume they could.
Anyway a very pleasant picture.
