Photographer’s Note
Here's an other panoramic took in my trip in Scotland. It's by a fortunate coincidence that we found this beautiful Castle, and that we stopped to take a lot of pictures. Unfortunately, we didnt have time to visit the castle, but be sure that when we're gonning back in Scotland, we are gonna to focul the Skye island and the north part of Scotland !
Although first inhabited around the 6th century, the first fortified castle was built in the mid 13th century and stood guard over the lands of Kintail. Since then, at least four different versions of the castle have been built and re-built as the feudal history of Scotland unfolded through the centuries.
Partially destroyed in a Jacobite uprising in 1719, Eilean Donan lay in ruins for the best part of 200 years until Lieutenant Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap bought the island in 1911 and proceeded to restore the castle to its former glory. After 20 years of toil and labour the castle was re-opened in 1932.
Today, you can explore nearly every part of the castle, and enjoy a journey through the history of the area.

nice panoramic shot with the castle at the end of the frame, watching the large view is very nice even if it lacks some more sharpness,
I don't know this country, but thanks to TE, I know well this castle, there is already some good different POV with different lighting, and always winning composition, photogenic place for sure ! fortunate coincidence indeed, would have been a pity you missed this castle !

Hello Christophe,
nice POV. Good composition with the castle, the lake and the red earth, the hills.

Christophe,
This is a great panorama! Your composition is great placing the castle to one side and showing the lake and mountains on the other. The inclusion of the rocks in the foreground add nice depth and good points of interest to the shot. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and DOF.

Bonjour Christophe,

Hi Christophe,
Very achieved compo, that makes good justice to the wild beauty of the place. The view "asks loudly" for a panoramic and you did a great one.
Regards, José.

Hi Christophe!
Very good panorama to show such an amazing place. I like this composition a lot and you placed the castle very well. The large version lets us see great details like the visitors following along the bridge.

C'est un pano magnifique; il y a un petit côté "Highlander" dans la scène photographiée.Très joli!

Hi Christophe,
Yeah, good old Eilean Donan castle, I like your panoramic format, The colours are really nice and the exposure control very good, I would maybe like to see a bit more of the castle (let it fill the frame a bit more) but it's very nice anyway,

Tomasz

bonsoir Christophe
superbe pano que tu nous proposes là !!
le cadre est génial et associer la baie au chateau est une bonne démarche.
