Praia de Mira - II Photo

Photographer’s Note

I'm showing a detail of another blue&white church, but this time a very different one. This one is made of wood and it's situated in Praia de Mira,not far from Coimbra. It's devoted to Our Lady of Conception and it's connected to the fishermen of the area, even because it's situated on the beach.

Hi Ana,
I really like this photo, this is quite special with a straight on symmetric view but with that irregularity that makes it stand out among all the thumbprints. The colours are exceptionally good and sharp. A very likeable photo!

Surely that is an image with a large membership, linear forms causing great visual impact, with great dynamism and strength.

The strong lighting makes the predominant shades with brilliance, sharpness in the details and balance in the frame.

Olá Ana,
Não a reconheci imediatamente como igreja, comecei por pensar que era uma daquelas casinhas de madeira. O padrão das paredes combina muito bem com o céu. É interessante como só o sino e as telhas não são azul ou branco. Uma imagem de encher o olho, muito bem enquadrada, com um grafismo, cores e nitidez esplêndidas.

That is perfectly framed, the blue stripes match the sky's color and add strong craphism . Nice dynamic sky too. Superb light, colors and exact sharpness.

Olá Ana,

This is splendid catch with enviable blue-white lines on facade. Terracotta roof tiles are eye catching with light plays there, under wonderful sky. Great one.

Hi Ana,
This is a beautiful capture with great repetitions of the lines on the church as well as of the roof tiles in the middle and there is also a great colour contrast between these two parts. The light is very attractive and I like the small clouds in the sky too. Thanks for sharing!

Olá Ana,
Ultimamente tenho colocado fotos de Mira, mas apenas da praia... Estupidamente, quando lá fui não me lembrei e nem sequer visitei a capela. Mas tenho aqui esta foto para me compensar desse erro e mais uma vez uma excelente foto, com um céu magnífico, uma composição e definição irrepreensíveis.

Excelente grafismo criado pelas linhas da igreja em contraste com o céu.
O céu com as nuvens de formas estranhas ficou muito bonito, ainda gosto mais a forma como as linhas da igreja parecem desenhar no céu.

lol. those stripes and the sky surely steal the show here. and the red tiles against the blue: nice contrast. i guess, the composition might have been a bit less centered but that's a minor point here. an impressive shot of the church!

Olá Ana,
hay una combinación muy bonita de esta iglesia y el cielo, con un gran juego de los tonos azules y blancos.
La franja roja del tejado rompe este equilibrio y aporta un buen toque de color, y el cielo con las pinceladas de nubes muy finas está magnífico.
Es una bella composición, con un encuadre perfecto.
