Photographer’s Note

Here I am back in Norway .... for my first post, I chose to present a photo that struck me when I've seen on the screen canon. On screen, it was love at first sight!
Vigeland Park is located at the centre of Oslo. Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943) has develop this park around the power of life. He prepared in the park statues in bronze and granite to symbolize a life of Man with its discoveries, its disappointments, its joys, its pains. He did not hesitate to take to model in personnifiant but also illustrating the park on his own family life. The central obelisk engraved human bodies of all ages is the fact that children are pushed forward by all the generations that follow. The child that's life, and Norway, children are legion. The family is important and this park illustrates this side here of Norway.

Tu as bien fait de choisir celle-ci
elle est magnifique car bien cadrée, et entourée d'un ciel superbe
Les Norvégiens manquent-ils de chaleur pour garnir leurs parcs de statues colées serrées ? -:)

Hello Marie,

I like the simplicity of the composition, forcing the viewer to concentrate on the main subject!
The blue sky makes a fine backdrop and the veil of clouds adds some diversity...

J'aime beaucoup ce genre de compo, assez abtraite, très personnelle et originale. Cela fonctionne très bien même si le piqué est un peu décevant. Très sympa, quoi qu'il en soit.

Nice idea Marie but am wondering about the execution; it looks like you've either substituted the real sky with another or processed the sky different from the statue as you can see the fuzzy edge around the outline of the statue. Tell us all....

cette photo représente bien ce que je pense de la vie, amour et tendresse, superbement bien cadré dans ce ciel tout bleu, elle dégage beaucoup de chaleur humaine.

Bonjour P'tite Soeur,
Je ne te savais pas encore rentrée au pays.
Très belle entrée en matière avec ce "coup de foudre". L'oeuvre est superbe, tout autant que ton shot ! La composition et le cadrage au top, surtout avec un tel ciel. Le 400D a été bien utilisé ;o)
