Electric Blue, Fanad lighthouse

Another night shot of Fanad Head Lighthouse. It was quite windy this night and I forgot to bring a torch to help guide me over the rocks which was quite dangerous and risky in places. I was hoping to capture a ray or beam from this lighthouse (as in Hook Lighthouse) but its more of a static bulb.

wow what a wonderful image beautiful composition love the blue color and the water wha ttime was it taken? did u use a ND filter?

Hi Stephen,
with all the deepest respect but..what on earth do you want as a critique here? The composition, colors, light, PP, etc..everything is just perfect and flawless. I love this picture as it looks almost as a paint, where the nature shows off all its power. The details on the rocks are unbelievable, with the long exposure on the water adding a dramatic touch and a powerful sound. The sky added strength to the compo with the beautiful lighthouse superbly exposed and standing out so well against it....don't know what else to say, I just love this picture!

Love the drama in the water Stephen, great composition as always and i like the way you have caught the small lights on the far shore.
Id say you take a few more risks than me as i went back to the camper van when the light started to fade when we visited it.

The seascape is magnificient but it will be interesting to have a look of the original shot in WS just for comparing.

Woooooowww, what a fantastic scene. Looks like from a movie. Colors are great. Wish to know how you gave this electric blue effect. Is there a blue filter on this photo?
The white lighthouse makes a great contrast on the blue back and foreground. Congratulations!

Stunning sea and sky captured by that long exposure. Great, wel balanced composition too.
I love the detail captured with a 5D, it seems to come into its own when you have to reduce files down to small sizes, the image is so full of detail, but not oversharpenned

Yesterday night I tried to take this kind of picture, long exposure time on sunset. But it wasn't very successful, I have to train again ! I love the blue tones of your composition and the contrast between blurred sea and sky and the sharp point with the lighthouse.

Wow, this is a realy stunner of a shot! The lighthouse is great, as is that dar, threatening sky, but the star of the show is the sea. Those lines from the waves are magical, making the water look almost electric. Supurb work!
