Photographer’s Note
I happened to have the camera with me to the office, and usually this is a rather boring view. This day, however, due to lucky circumstances, we had rainshowers all day, and this is just one of the many rainbows I capyured that day. I've noticed one problem with my camera, and that is that white areas become burned out very easily, as you can see. How can I avoid that?

Great colours. Finally I see a complete rainbow, like in the movies! Anyway, even without the rainbow, you can't call it a boring sight, given it is only a workplace. Would you prefer to work in a big factory town with chimneys and red brick hangars? :-)
For what the white overexposure regards, I'm not an expert, but I would try to underexpose a little while shooting, and then eventually correct exposure with postprocessing. Digital cameras are very sensitive for small underexposures, but tend to saturate easily with overexposures.
Moreover, in this picture, you have a part of the road in the shadow, and a white builing in the sun: either you darken too much the road, or you brivghten too much the white. However, the comand "curves" on Photoshop makes miracles :-)
Another thing that you can check is the "saturation" setting on your camera. I see something "odd" on the blue of the house deck, or the green grass near the road, along with the white you were saying; they look a bit unnatural; too strong blue, too strong green. Maybe a step less saturation.
Last suggestion: to enhance a rainbow, a polarizer may be of great advantage.

This is the best shot of a rainbow that I have seen. Perfect symmetry with the rainbow dead center. Great work!
